RDP with High Performance

Thinfinity Remote Desktop Server allows for the access of demanding applications like streaming HD videos or working with live 3-D models.

Cybele Software, Inc. is thrilled to announce the latest version of the Thinfinity® Remote Desktop Server, version 4.0. This powerful remote desktop server provides users with access to Windows Terminal Services desktops and applications or virtual desktops complete with access to applications, files, and network resources such as remote printing. The Thinfinity Remote Desktop Server can also deliver cloud access to specific applications when full desktops are not required. All this with no client installation required—no need for Flash, Silverlight, Active-X, or anything other than an HTML5-compatible browser.

The Thinfinity Remote Desktop Server can be deployed either on your company server(s) or can be cloud-hosted using Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Rackspace, or Google Cloud Platform™ (GCP). It also supports scaling and load balancing to meet the size demands of your organization. And, user access is device and platform independent. Users have their choice of Windows®, Mac®, Linux®, Chromebook™, iOS®, or Android™ devices. All they need is an Internet connection and an HTML5-compatible browser such as Microsoft Edge, IE10/11, Safari, Opera, Chrome, or Firefox.

As the modern workforce becomes more dispersed globally, and more companies are allowing their employees to work from home, having a cost-effective means of accessing corporate computer resources remotely becomes essential to the success of many businesses. The Thinfinity Remote Desktop Server is the solution that IT departments are deploying.

The Thinfinity Remote Desktop Server enables cost savings by allowing users to use their own devices and share computing resources and software. Businesses that want to continue to provide computers to users can save, as well because a thin-client approach can be used.

Resource-hungry applications can reside on fast servers and the user only needs a browser to access them. This extends the useful life of current older computers, slowing down the upgrade cycle. When it is time to upgrade, you’ll no longer need to purchase the most expensive computer to meet the ever-increasing requirements of the client-based software. And, with applications centrally located rather than on multiple desktops—no longer will every computer need application updates and patches to stay current. Additionally, with applications loaded on servers, it lowers individual user computer support needs. All this translates to lower IT costs by saving on equipment, support time, and admin tasks.

Another great use for the Thinfinity Remote Desktop Server is to publish Windows applications on the cloud and offer your Software as a Service (Saas). The Thinfinity Remote Desktop Server can be dedicated solely to your application. The subscriber-based software provides a more stable revenue stream for you, and the users benefit as well from your ability to rapidly roll out software improvements.

With the Thinfinity Remote Desktop Server, security is not an afterthought. All the connections from browsers are performed over HTTPS. And, the Thinfinity Remote Desktop Server allows for the installation of a 256-bit SSL certificate. The Thinfinity Remote Desktop Server also supports all industry-standard SSL VPNs, including Cisco and Juniper and allows you to set different authentication levels as needed. And, with the use of Access Profiles, you are able to restrict the access of different Active Directory users to particular computers.

The Thinfinity Remote Desktop Server, version 4.0, expands on an already great product by making it faster and providing expanded features such as per-user connection profiles management, a credential manager (eliminating the need to retype credentials every time you access an RDP host), support for additional authentication methods, and it is now licensing server ready to lessen VMs management requirements.

The need for a speedy user experience is always important when working remotely—the newest release of the Thinfinity Remote Desktop Server is 40% faster than its predecessor. This allows for the access of demanding applications like streaming HD videos or working with live 3-D models.

Many authentication options are now available in version 4, including the single

sign-on (SSO), two-factor authentication (2FA), OAuth 2.0 (Google, Facebook, Twitter, OpenID, Okta, Forgerock, or custom), RADIUS, DUO 2FA, and SAML (Okta or Azure).
